Program Overview
Discover how our Education & Awareness Program fosters understanding and empowers communities affected by chronic illnesses.
The Purple Rose Initiative’s Education & Awareness Program is designed to increase public understanding of cystic fibrosis and other genetic and chronic health conditions through accessible, age-appropriate, and community-centered educational initiatives. The program focuses on translating complex medical and genetic concepts into meaningful, understandable information for children, families, and the broader public. Through storytelling, interactive learning tools, and educational outreach, the Initiative seeks to reduce stigma, increase awareness, and empower individuals navigating chronic illness.
This is a newly launched and continuously developing program. As the Initiative grows, its offerings will expand to deepen impact, strengthen support, and reach more individuals and families navigating complex health conditions.

- Family-centered materials that encourage conversation, understanding, and connection
These resources are developed and curated in collaboration with leading research organizations, foundations, and medical communities.
Rather than creating disease-specific content across all conditions, the Initiative focuses on:
- Supporting and amplifying existing research and educational efforts
- Translating key insights into meaningful, real-world understanding
- Highlighting how advancements in one condition may inform progress in others
As the Initiative grows, these tools will expand through strategic partnerships and continued collaboration.
Activities designed to explain how genetic conditions impact the body over time
The goal is to increase understanding of how advances in genetic research affect not only cystic fibrosis but a wide range of chronic and inherited conditions.
These tools are intentionally designed to evolve over time. As a first-year initiative, resources will continue to expand and develop through ongoing partnerships, research insights, and community needs.
